Jennie Emmons brings over 25 years of investigative experience to her clients. After earning a master’s degree in forensic science from George Washington University, Jennie began her career as a Special Agent with the FBI. She served in San Francisco, Detroit, and for over 12 years in Vermont. During the course of her career, she specialized in complex fraud cases and those involving crimes against children. She handled a wide spectrum of other investigations, to include violent crimes, civil rights violations, forfeiture, and federal background cases.
Over the years, Jennie honed her interviewing and report writing skills, developing the patience and skills to elicit key information and to document it accurately. She enjoys working collaboratively with attorneys and partnering with clients to advance cases toward the best resolution. She is well-versed in trial preparation and has testified many times before federal grand juries and as a government witness at federal trials. While a member of the FBI’s Evidence Response Team, Jennie gained expertise in evidence collection and preservation, crime scene management, and forensic best practices.
Jennie has a relatively unique combination of investigative and forensic experience that consistently served as an asset during countless investigations. After 24 rewarding years with the FBI, she retired at the end of 2021. Before launching her own firm in the spring of 2024, Jennie worked as a contract background investigator.
